Sunrise III

Third sunrise with my mom.

Here's where the title becomes obsolete; sunrise only lasts so long anyway.

I don't eat when I travel just because I'm poor and I don't like spending money. I made the mistake of telling my mom this before I left for Ohio. She made two lunches for me that thankfully had peaches and soda in them - can't take liquids over 4 oz past security... oh well! Then I made a similar mistake as I was leaving Ohio by telling my father. (Actually, as parents do, they both inquired about my nutrition plans before they left me - I didn't bring it up) He gave me cash to buy something at one of my stops. Creature of habit that I am, I forgot about the money in my pocket and landed in West Palm Beach $10 richer than when I was there last.

I always try to use cash for its intended purpose (when given to me as a gift), so I used it to buy breakfast for my mom and me this morning at Einstein Brother Bagel; my father's treat. If you only knew the relationship between my mother and father, you would find this insanely entertaining. (or maybe I'm just few fries short of a happy meal anyway)

Since I mentioned airport security somewhere back there, I have to announce that I have not been padded down at security for at least one year! I guess I'm getting to look less like a terrorist in my old age.

Visiting extended family in Ohio + my father = missionary opportunities + ample opportunities to learn patience. My father and his sister are similar in many ways and different in others, as siblings often are. It was wonderful to be able to visit and learn a little more about my family. I have to say that Liam is pretty much my cutest cousin that was born this July. (Good thing Joshua was born a few months ago!)

Life is so good!
