This morning, I went in to have my wisdom removed. That wouldn't have taken very long, but the took out 4 impacted teeth as well. I was awake for the whole thing, so it was really fun when my jaw was forced out of place with the "little bit of pressure" needed to get the first tooth out. When he discovered my jaw wouldn't close, they decided to work with the convenience and pop it back in when they were done. Not too much harm done; they said I would have a speedy recovery. In the meantime, I got to deal with having a beat up face and trying to form blood clots in the wet environment of my mouth. One side of my face is bigger than the other, so I was thinking of taking glamour shots while I can. That about covers today...
Yesterday, however, I went to church! Girls camp had just drawn to a close, so we got to hear the testimony of those who attended. Thankfully, there was no testimony of my legs since I didn't attend this year. I miss girl's camp.
On Saturday, Nan called me to invite my mom and I to a dinner that her church was having. We at hot dogs and talked. I tried to save my cookies for later... I hate Florida because it makes my cookies soggy. I hadn't got to talk to my Uncle Joe for a really long time, so I was really happy when he and David (another uncle) came upstairs with the news that their TV was broken. Good news for me! Joe and I made Mango Salsa that he told me would be the best thing I ever had in my life; it was. What was great was that we put a red pepper in it with all of its seeds, so no one else wanted any. We are good!
P.S. I started this post yesterday, so move all general references to time back one day.

You are mostly wise still, but just so you know, you aren't landlocked, you live in Florida for goodness sake! you are right by the ocean.
ReplyDeletetechnically yes, but my travels are locked on the land of the United States of America. I never leave this soil. It's more metaphorical expression of frustration than a factual statement.
